Launched in 2012, the Indigenous People’s Education (IPEd) Center, based out of the Gabaldon Building in Kiangan, Ifugao, serves as an educational and cultural space for Indigenous heritage. Functioning both as a resource and community space, the center aims to directly engage with marginalized and underrepresented populations. The center aims to provide an important venue for Ifugao youth education about the importance of their culture, and to strengthen comprehension of traditional knowledge systems, practices, and community values.
The center aspires to bring together students and keepers of indigenous culture, and to provide a repository of material cultural artifacts from the Ifugao past.
